Educational Author and International Consultant
Having made the decision to introduce Cognitive Coaching to my school, I spent some time researching courses and providers. I prefer to work with those that have been recommended by colleagues and contacts and Gavin’s name was the one that kept being mentioned. After a number of conversations about what I was trying to achieve, both with Gavin and a number of other coaching training providers, it soon became obvious that Gavin had an unrivalled knowledge of and passion for Cognitive Coaching.
My instinct proved right and the quality of the training and support provided by Gavin was first class. I don’t hesitate to recommend Gavin to any organisation looking to establish a coaching culture. With his support, you can be assured that the changes brought about will be authentic and sustainable.

Since 2011 I have had the privilege of working with Gavin Grift as a colleague. We have worked together in Australia and in the US. Gavin is an outstanding educator and a trusted colleague. I learn every time I collaborate with him. In 2014 we were co-authors on the book Collaborative Teams That Transform Schools during which we began to share ideas regularly which continues to this day. My respect for him as an educator and as a person could not be higher. He is a genuine and very skilled professional who I am honoured to call a friend and colleague.

I have had the good fortune to know Gavin Grift both as a provider of quality professional learning and as a keynote speaker. His excellent grounding in education shines through and it is clear that he is always a teacher first. This makes him very relatable. His strategies are evidence-based examples of best practice and his methodology is underpinned by good humour and real-life scenarios. He was outstanding as our keynote for our network wide conference in 2018, meeting the needs of the 600+ crowd and generous with his time by offering concurrent sessions on the day. The principals from our 15 schools – both primary and secondary – have subsequently commissioned Gavin to facilitate his Leadership for Learning program in 2019 as a direct result of the positive impression that he made upon us all. We are excited at the prospect of continuing our journey as leaders with Gavin.
